Spotting

I have a couple of prints, well a few that needs a bit of spotting, white marks, now on the spot tone inks, it says, not to use hardener in the fix bath.
Correct me if i am wrong, dose not all fixers come with hardener in.

If not could you please enlighten me to a product to avoid this.

No, there are hardening and non-hardening fixers. I believe Kentmere and Ilford make both types. Have a look at Ilford's website (http://www.ilford.com) under products to see the names of each. I don't know if Kentmere has an equivalent website, but you can check over the Kentmere fixers on the Freestyle website (http://www.freestylephoto.biz/e_main.php)

Thank you for your response, you learn some thing all the time. I will trawl through them, yet when i use my normal paper which is Kentmere art, i do not have any problems with touching up prints, "that sounds bad". By the way thank you for your input on the store's lady.

First time I've heard anything about the type of paper fix having any relevance to spotting. I've been happily spotting for years with no worries about fixer. I would ignore that piece of advice & just get on with the spotting.
