spots on film

I am having a hard time figuring out where these black spots in my negatives are coming from. I shoot two rolls a week (1 in ISO 100 and 1 in ISO 400) So i don't buy the most expensive film ultra-fine +. I use all Kodak development chemicals (D-76, stop bath, fixer, Dektol) In my 100 speed film i get some odd black marks in my film, they are hard to see when looking directly at the negative but come out very pronounced when printing. They are of odd shapes not like round air bubbles that may have been stuck to the film during development. I am thinking that the developer maybe contaminated some how but am not sure yet. Has anyone had this problem before?

Try mixing your chemicals with distilled water.

Also make sure you're drying the film in as dust-free an area as possible. If you're hanging the film in your bathroom, run the shower hot for a few minutes first, then let the steam clear, before hanging the film; the steam will take a lot of the dust out of the air.

Met Kevin this evening near the end of the work day. Great guy. Serves his country. Thank you, Kevin.

I keep a loupe at the parts store for viewing postcards, OE numbers on ball bearings, et al. Could not make out the specs on the negs. But, being white on the prints and irregular in shape/border, it does not look like air bells. Dust somewhere between winding on film and loading onto the spools for processing. And only happens with film from one camera.
