After a period of forced inactivity, I've decided to take Mr. Thoreau's advice & simplify. Put plainly, I have too many cameras & not enough time to shoot all of them. Also, my shoulders are messed up from repetitive stress at work & I need to lighten my load, so to speak.
Pentax Spotmatic with Super Takumar 50mm/1.4
My first m42 camera & still one of the best. This combo was purchased off Shopgoodwill.com & CLA'd by Eric Hendrickson. Body is in great condition, leatherette is intact, VF is clear, & shutter speeds & meter are accurate. Lens is in excellent condition & has been cured of the "yellow peril". Comes with front lens cap, never-ready case & shoulder strap. $125
35mm SMC Takumar/3.5 (M42)
Excellent lens, but I have a 28mm & a 50mm, so this one doesn't see much use. I believe it was also purchased off Shopgoodwill.com & has also been CLA'd by Eric Hendrickson. There's a small mark on the filter ring from where it had been dropped at some point before I acquired it. This has been fixed & I haven't had any problem putting on or removing filters. Glass is clear & free of fungus. Comes with case & front cap. $60
(The 200mm show below has already been sold.)
Holgawood "Sunset Boulevard" Holga
I picked this up on clearance at Urban Outfitters. Haven't used it much & I have a regular Holga which I like better anyway. The inside has been painted with black paint. Once thing is for sure, you'll get noticed carrying this baby around! $20
B&J Press Camera with Ilex 7.5" lens
I've been dabbling in large format off & on for a year or so. Frankly, I shoot too many formats & need to eliminate one or two. Since I can't seem to make much time for LF, this camera should go to someone who'll use it more.
The camera itself is in what I'd call user condition. It's definitely seen some love & and lost it's rangefinder somewhere along the line. The bellows are in good condition (no leaks) & the leather covering is intact. There are some Sharpie marks on the ground glass, but these don't interfere with focusing. It comes with an Ilex 7.5" lens mounted in a Universal shutter. Someone prior to me was nice enough to make the correct shutter speed & f/stop markings on the shutter in magic marker. One of the cool things about this lens is it comes has a threaded filter mount in 52mm, the same as a Nikon 35mm lens. There's a convert ring mounted on it at the moment which also doubles as a small lens shade. Also comes with five mounting boards for other lens/shutter combos. This would be a great starter camera for someone learning LF photography. $165 (which is what I paid for it about six months ago.)
