I've come to a halt disassembling my Flexaret III to clean up corrosion from water damage. while I have a good collection of small tools suitable for the job, I'm in need of a good quality spanner wrench or wrenches to remove the lens assembly and film advance lever (maybe something else I haven't discovered yet). Not one for auction sites I do not have a paypal account. For a one time job I thought I'd try to find good used tools.

Thanks! Whether or not I find a set of Grimes the video was helpful and I have a better idea of what to look for. The minimum closing distance will be something to look out for as the holes are relatively close on the film advance lever.

Both of these are an option, shipping, even small packages, from the US into Canada can often cost more than the order itself. I don't understand why as shipping from some other countries is relatively cheap. Ideally I'll find a good value on both the tool and the shipping. Not much chance of finding them locally :-(

I have an extra wrench, which I'm happy to sell for $25 + actual shipping via PayPal. email me at rlambrec@ymail.com if interested; It was custom made for me by a fine mechanic in Germany about eight years ago and I used it for my Toyo,Linhof and Cambo lenses without any problem.

Some have made them by grinding down the tips of a pair of needle nose pliers

The spanner I linked to is on amazon.ca with free shipping here: https://www.amazon.ca/Neewer-Profes...=UTF8&qid=1464027351&sr=8-1&keywords=10074622

Oh, and Happy Victoria Day.
Thank you, and in keeping with what seems to have become a tradition wherever I happen to be living on Victoria Day, its cold and overcast. While out for my morning walk and photo taking I was on top of a barren hill in town trying to take some photos with a high wind at +0.7C and no gloves (I don't think I could set the shutter on my Lubitel 166B with any kind of glove on). The good news is that we're expecting some rain showers, not more snow

That would work, with a cheap pair of pliers, but then I'd need two pair, one for points the other with the flat blades. I already tried my smallest snap ring pliers on the film advance lever without success, I'll hold off for a better tool.

I'm waiting to hear from Ralph Lambretch on his offer for a used tool, the skgrimes tool will be considered if this doesn't work out. Good tools are an investment, I'd like to see some of mine passed down to following generations if they're of any use to anyone.

Ron, I found it and it's going into the mail within an hour.I'll ship at cost(not inflated) and send a paypal request for teetotal via email. It is a very flexible but sturdy tool.
