Hi Greg:

What exactly do you need? I can help. I can also offer you the best deal in the land. Need to know the precise thickness, width, length and quantity of what you need. I can mill the lumber to your precise specs and ship this week for very very reasonable prices. I happen to have a bunch of beautifully seasoned 8 year old walnut lying about cluttering up the place. My jointer, planer and table saw love to chew on walnut. How can I help you?

I sent them an email about something that I think I need. Looking for some 1 inch square hardwood to use for building a tripod. Also need some 1/4 inch square for the guide rails. Hopefully they can help me out with some somewhat finished lumber. I don't have the tools to plane it down or anything like that, so just cutting out for the guide rails is going to be difficult.

Thanks for rubbing it in! Everything is too damn expensive out here on the olympic pennisula... And I have to drive an hour and a half to get to Edensaw!

Hi Colin:

That is a very small price to pay for the quality of life you have. In Edmonds, which is a lot better than some cities, the traffic and pace is horrific. 2 more years until I can leave this rat race for a place in the country like you have. Count your blessings.

Hi Barry-
Excellent point. I lived in Seattle for ten years and it about drove me to the brink. I'm glad you have an end in sight. I wish you the best of luck (& speed) in getting to where you want to be. I though country living would have me tearing my hair out but in fact it's been sublime; it's like the clock is ticking backwards in some ways! Cheers, Colin
