Have a couple old barrel lenses without mounting flanges. So, I'm looking for the sources for lens mounting flanges? I have the lens identfication data and thread outside diameter and thread pitch measurements. Just need to find someone with the right box of lens mounting flanges.

Thanks,

Jay

If the thread pitch is 0.75 you might be able to use standard step-up rings available on Ebay for very cheap. Just a thought.

hi jay

in a pinch i have just screwed the barrel lens
right into the matboard i use as a lensboard.
sometimes friction mount it ( on the barrel not the thread )
with some black matt masking tape ( to make sure light doesn't make it through )

some of the lenses i have done this to have been mounted like
that for 6 years ... and i never had troubles ...
granted these are smaller barrel lenses, and single cells
nothing like a vitax ( bazooka ) or verito barrel ...

if you have smaller lenses the "in a pinch " method might work
until you find a mounting flange ..

good luck!

SK Grimes does this kind of work. They may be willing to sell you the part or help you source it.
