With a new-to-me F4, I'm looking at my F100's flash (SB-28DX) and looking over the specs I could find online. If I'm reading it right, the SB28-DX has some issues with the F4, but a plain SB-28 would have worked simply at a reduced capability level. Looking at the SB-24 which was released at the same time the F4 was developed, there's no mention of compatibility issues... but the capability is about the same as the SB-28 step down.

So does anyone "know" or better, have experience with a SB28-DX on an F4, or would you recommend simply sucking it up and buying an SB-24?

Thanks!
