Love the colours! Sure, most look like posed shot's, but they sure zing!

Also, got to love one of the responses I read on the other forum about this series....yea Gods, some people have no idea:

Great pics but these are well and truly digital. Maybe film once but these have been worked over and look awesome. The pp'er shows a lot of skill and the original photographer/s would be gobsmacked with the result.

The last I was in Akron, Ohio the large building in photo #9 was still in use housing the Goodyear Blimps. It’s on the Akron Fulton International Airport property next to the All American Soapbox Derby’s race track.

It still looks the same as in the photo.

Perhaps so. But then not every viewer has had the opportunity to see every image. I've seem many of these Alfred Palmer Kodachromes over on Shorpy, but several in this particular set I haven't seen before.

Yes, I do understand that. But I hadn't seen them before and I am sure there are plenty from other parts of the world who hadn't seen them before either....

I have a rather large collection of Kodachromes that my dad shot during that time period. He was with the Army Air Corp/ Signal Corp as a photographer. The rich colors of the Kodachrome I is still as vibrant today as it as in the 40s. And I also have the camera that shot them.
