Recently I purchased a "Broken" Soligor Spot Sensor for $5. No idea what is wrong with it yet, put batteries in it and nothing happens. I've managed to repair a few cameras so figured I would give a shot at fixing this spot meter.

Anyone have any ideas where to start? Are there normal issues with these meters that I should check for first? Does the sensor tend to go out on them? Any idea where I could get an exact replacement? Are there upgrades to the stock sensor?

Any ideas where to start might save me time trouble shooting.

Any input appreciated.

Thanks

Jeremiah

Dirty switch(es), broken or corroded power wire, cold solder joint, not likely but bad cell, if it's been dropped or bumped the hairspring could be crossed. If there's any movement of the needle it's probably not the hairspring
