For sale is a Nicola Perscheid Objektiv 42cm f/4.5 Lens. This is the earlier, more desirable version with 4 elements in 2 groups. The later version is a triplet. While this is specified for 8x10 at infinity, it will actually cover 11x14 at portrait distances. There are some marks on the rear element, but I believe this will not significantly impact your images. The original flange and front cap are included. The rear element will be well protected during shipping.

It might be interesting to have the approx. srl. number, as the barrel of this aplanat-type obviously has been completely redesigned from early aplanat-type?

It is 306XXX.

Abt. fifty years ago I had a chance to inspect two samples of the Perscheid at a dealer: No. 298xxx - which obviously was the aplanat type; and no. 332xxx - which certainly was the triplet. Hence the no. 306xxx apparantly seems to fit the bill, in which case the redesign of the barrel would be confirmed. Thank you!
