I bought this new from Firstcall Photographic the day Nikon announced discontinuance. (Spring 2008). Back then I was really worried that I would not have a darkroom in the future and I saw this as my best option. In the event, I have always had a temporary / semi permanent darkroom and so this machine has not had a lot of use. I dislike scanning and I do think this needs to be in the hands of someone who will use it. I've been using the Nikon Scan software throughout with this scanner and it's a simple thing to get it running on Windows 10, there's a website if you google that explains.
My account here was hacked earlier in the year and the impostor attempted to sell high-end lenses in my name. How to convince you all that it is really me? I've taken a photo of the unit sitting on yesterday's UK Guardian newspaper and I also have a little post-it with today's date. I also have a screen grab of the Nikon Scan software running this machine this morning.
