Looking to try large format? Here's a great opportunity. For sale is my like new--June 2015--Shenhao 45-IIA and accompanying monocular reflex viewer. No lensboards, as I'm using them on another camera. The camera and viewer new are almost $1300. I'd like to sell as a unit but am willing to part out. The camera goes for $800; the viewer alone is $175. Continental US only, please.

You know, there is a whole world outside of your country that is quite possibly interested in your camera, and/or, the monocular viewfinder.

I saw this just after you posted it, am interested in the monocular viewfinder, but, as you don't wish to sell it to me, I didn't bother asking.

Mick.

My camera, my choice. No offense intended, some of us just don't want to ship internationally.

It amuses me that Americans seem to have a real aversion to international shipping. The rest of us do it all the time with no problems. Just wondering why, is it the extra paperwork, lack of trust, more effort required, just wondering? And as you say no offense intended.

We Americans have been spoiled with too much freedom, ease and 'one click gratification'. That said, however, I prefer not to ship internationally for all the reasons you mention. No offense taken.

Having shipped camera gear all over the world, there have been few problems, other than having to fill out some forms for the post office. Overseas shipment generally requires two trips to the post office, one to make sure the postage quoted to the buyer is absolutely correct and one to actually mail it. It also requires an extra email or two and the associated wait time for response. Should there ever be a problem with loss or damage to an item in shipping a royal PITA occurs dealing with the post office. I have always offered a money back guarantee if for some reason the item is not as described. Although the only time I can recall having to refund someones money was when the circuit in a like new Olympus OM 2S decided to die in shipment, having to do a return with expensive shipping is problematic. Small items with no guarantee seem to work OK if the postage is not two excessive. Assuming a transaction doesn't eat up too much time, which often occurs, international shipment can be possible, however much of the risk of shipping gets shifted to the buyer. If I get 5 or 6 hours or more of my time involved in sorting out a problem in shipping overseas, no transaction is worth the hassle of dealing with the resolution of the problem. Bill Barber

I am wondering what percentage of the cameras in the US shipped internationally to reach the US.
There could be a super magnet that holds these there  My suspect is Mr. Tesla though

Is the camera still available? How much are you asking for just the camera? And I am in the US... Seems to be a touchy subject
