Up for a Road Trip? I need this gone by June 30th.

As you probably know, film photography and darkroom is making a comeback. Kids who have grown up with digital are rediscovering "analog" photography. You are going to need a small van or an enclosed truck to hope to get all of this home. Alda is just a few miles off of Interstate 80, the first exit west of the Grand Island/Hastings exit. If you are considering starting a Rental Darkroom, or Community Darkroom, this could be just your ticket.

This is not a full list but hits the highlights:
Beseler 23CII Dual Dichro with stabilized power supply
Beseler 45S Dichro (4x5 capable enlarger)
Additional Beseler 23CII Condenser enlarger (no baseboard - but I have an Omega D2 (4x5) baseboard that could probably be made to work).
Assortment of negative carriers for both enlargers.

Enlarging lenses: Four 50mm: Computar dl 50mm f2.8, Minolta C.E. Rokkor-X 50mm f2.8, Rodenstock Rodagon 50mm f4, El Nikkor 50mm f4
El Nikkor 75mm f4
Rodenstock Rodagon 105mm f5.6
Rodenstock Rodagon 135mm f5.6
Schneider-Kreuznach Componon-S 135mm f5.6

Timers: Gralab 900 digital with foot switch, Jobo Process Timer 8, GraLab 300, Time-o-lite P72, Time-o-Lite M72

Lots of paper safes in all sizes. Numerous easels up to 16x20, (including a Jobo VarioFormat easel) and two 4-in-1 easels. Speed Easels. Adjustable borderless easels.

Several stainless steel film developing tanks (several sizes) with a BUNCH of stainless steel reels, 35mm and 120/220

A whole big plastic storage container full of other Jobo drums and tanks. Includes a Jobo MultiTank 8 with center core and a 3010 tank for developing multiple sheets of 4x5 film (lid on this has been repaired - not by me - ugly but functional!) plus 3 Jobo TestDrums with 5 or 6 Jobo Reels.

Thomas Safelight (the BEST) with extra bulbs (expensive). Other safelights.

(The BEST) Peak Enlarging Grain Focuser II, along with at least 3 other grain focusers (Micro-Sight III and Mini-Sight)

Darkroom trays of various sizes, including three 20x24 trays.

Hansa Glossy Print Dryer (11x14)

Lots of chemistry (including hard to find stuff like Kodalith Developer and Super RT Kodalith developer (for LITH PRINTING) and a LOT of papers (several unopened boxes of 50 sheets of Ilford RC Multigrade III and IV Pearl in 20x24 size - expired in 2001). A lot of Forte Elegance (polygrade, Double Weight Fibre-Based in glossy and Semi-Matte) and Forte Salon RC (polygrade glossy) paper (mostly unopened 16x20 and 11x14). No expiration dates on the Forte papers and they are very sought after. I'm told that expired papers work well for Lith Printing (alternative process) or even Lumen Prints. More papers of the more common sizes (8x10 & smaller).

A 4'x2'x4" deep ABS darkroom sink with drain. Very light. Make a stand for it out of PVC or wood and drain into your tub or toilet for temporary set-ups.

A couple dozen great titles of darkroom books (might sell separately, easily $250-300 in used prices for the books alone).

Alternative Process stuff:
A box of new 24" UV lights (make an awesome UV exposure table up to 24 x 30 in size)
Five 4' T12 UV lights
Photographer's Formulary Cyanotype A & B *unopened*
Brushes for Cyanotype *new*
Watercolor paper for Cyanotype *unused*
Huge chunk of glass for making a sunprinting frame (great for Lumen Prints or Cyanotypes, for example).

With the addition of the base cabinets and countertop (see post below) the price is $1250 FIRM, but HAS to be gone by the end of June or it will all be moved to a storage facility. This could be the makings of a great community darkroom or darkroom rental business. Or simply sell what you don't need to pay for the purchase and keep the rest for yourself! I know I could sell for much, much more piecing it out on eBay or Craigslist but change in life circumstances doesn't give me the luxury of that time.

Trying to get an idea of how much space this takes up. Could you send me a pm? Wondering if shipping could be an option.

Shipping is not a practical option financially and not an option for me personally due to time constraints. Will PM you, but will have to wait until after work (4 hrs or so).

(It looks like the two Dichro heads are worth $500 on eBay by themselves, forgetting the rest of the enlarger and enlarging lenses & negative carriers.)

beam me up scottie?

wow nice deal.

See, this is the kind of stuff that makes me want to move. Absolutely unbelievable deal.

Somebody grab this. For all of us who can't.

Why are all the fantastic deals so far away from me?:smile:

I might be able to meet you half way the week after 4th of July as i have a week of vacation.

Wow, that's a very kind offer. However, I'm no longer safe to drive that far anymore.

If you change your mind on shipping I would be interested in your chemistry and paper. Just saying

Steal of a deal for anyone close enough!

I found some other items that may be of interest that are going with the whole enchilada:
ColorStar 3000 Analyzer (complete and mint in the original snap case)
Jobo Comparator 2
3 Zone VI print drying screens (24"x30'). I was told that these were Zone VI buy the guy I bought them from in Wichita (and Zone VI did sell them) but I can find no labels on them proving they are Zone VI.

ALSO: I'm adding a couple of nice base cabinets if someone wants them. These are nice almond metal industrial/lab base cabinets. One is 60" long and has two wide doors on each end. I also have another matching base cabinet that is 30" wide that is configured like this. These were purchased (in superb shape) from a local university surplus auction and came out of a science lab. I'm pretty sure that the original selling price of these two cabinets alone would exceed 50% of my asking price. I have kitchen countertop with backsplash on the top of each of these right now (not attached) that are included.

IN ADDITION: I have a nice piece of CORNER countertop that I put pipe flanges with pipe & cap legs on that I intended to use with the Beseler 45S. It has a filled in corner with two "wings" and the baseboard of the 45S fits nicely on it (diagonal to the corner). The pipe lens give you 24" of clearance from the floor, enough that I can still slide my legs under while seated on a chair. The pipe legs would unscrew for easier moving/transport.
