SOLD! Japanese Hansa 6x9 Wooden Field Camera in almost unused condition. If you have wanted to use the movements of large format cameras, but don't want to use roll film, this is the camera for you.

This tiny and svelte camera weighs only 750 grams and measures 155 x 130 x 65 mm, including all the knobs and protrusions. The bellows is light-tight and supple. The focusing screen is clear.

The bellows compresses to 50mm and extends to 195mm. The front has rise/fall, tilt and swing movements. The rear has forward tilt. The lens boards are plain 1mm thick 60 x 65 mm rectangular sheets. A Copal 0 board is included. The focusing panel swings down to reveal the baby Graflok back, which will take the smaller Graflok holders like the Horseman VH and Mamiya RB.

To close the camera, zero the front standard, loosen the two screws, release the front frame and push it into the space in the box. Then the back can be folded down. Locking the knobs at the sides ensures that the camera stays closed.

If you want a complete package, I have 6x7 and 6x9 Horseman roll film holders and a number of lenses that would be eminently suitable for this camera.

This photo shows the camera with a Schneider Super-Angulon 65mm f/8 lens. When focused at infinity, the front standard can be raised 15mm and shifted 15mm and even then the camera bed does not show up in the image. The standard can also be lowered 5mm.
The lens board is for a Copal 0 shutter. I had to tape a piece of cardboard behind the lens board to hold the lens which is in a 00 shutter. The lens is not part of the sale, but is available separately. The Copal 0 lens board itself is included.

When the rear standard is moved forward, a 50mm lens, and possibly a 47mm lens can also be used. The Mamiya lens is not part of the sale but is available separately.

That Mamiya is from the 6x9 press camera (I have one in a Copal shutter.) Usually you remove the front and rear lens half’s and transplant them in a Copal 0 shutter. I may be seeing wrong but that looks like a Seiko shutter, and I was surprised the aperture scale matched the lens. Was the setup or that lens original? Or is it a well done transplant?

Indeed the Mamiya lens is for the Press/Super/Universal series of cameras. Copal and Seiko #0 shutters are interchangeable, though the #1 shutters aren't.
This shutter is from a Fujinon 150mm f/6.3 lens. The aperture scale doesn't really match - the aperture begins to close down only at f/11.5. It will have to be re-calibrated. The shutter works properly.

The Mamiya 50mm is supposed to be a Biogon design and is very sharp.
