SOLD.
DURST PRO Enlarger for formats 35mm to 4x5. In excellent working condition. Rock-solid, professional quality and durability. The column is extra wide and super sturdy.
  • I bought this enlarger from an acquaintance in the late 1970's. I immediately converted it to an Aristo Cold Light and added a Zone VI Compensating Enlarging Timer with Probe.
  • The enlarger is now attache to a custom-made wall mount, which you may have for the asking.
  • A few years ago, the cranking gear gave out and had two custom-made by Glennview in Chicago; I installed one and have the spare.
  • The Aristo Cold Light is not the round type, but the rectangular type (Model 4x5). I had a machinist make custom-made base for the Aristo Head: between the Aristo's light source and the Negative Carrier stage, there is a thin slot for the Contrast Filters - works great.
Column Height: 44 inches.
Column + Head with Aristo Cold Light at maximum height: 66 inches. Higher (by approx. 12 inches) with the Condenser Head.

The Enlarger comes with:

  1. Aristo 4x5 Cold Light Head with V54 Lamp for Variable Contrast papers.
  2. Aristo Contactor 1200.
  3. Spare Aristo V54 Lamp + original Aristo Lamp (for graded papers only).
  4. Durst Camcap Condenser Head with the following Condensers:
  5. Unicon 50 (for 35mm)
  6. Unicon 85 (for Medium Format) for some odd reason, I have two of these.
  7. Camcon 150 (paired) (for Large Format).
  8. Heat Absorbing Glass (necessary when using the Condenser Head).
  9. Lensboard (Flat) for Large Format.
  10. Lensboard (Recessed) for 35mm and Medium Format.
  11. Durst Camneg Negative Carriers with a custom-made case for them; for the following formats: 35mm, 35mm (filed for full-frame), 645, 66 (x2), 67, 450, 450 Glass + Anti-Newton Glass (provides excellent flatness for any negative, from 35mm to 4x5).
  12. Original Baseboard. Lenses:
  13. El-Nikkor 1:5.6 f=80mm (mounted on Lensboard).
  14. Rodenstock Omegaron 1:4.5 f=135mm (mounted on lens board).
  15. El-Omegar 1:3.5 f=50mm
  16. Beslar 1:4.5 f=105mm
  17. Beseler Head Adapter Kit for attaching a Beseler Head.
  18. Zone VI Compensating Enlarging Timer with Probe, Foot Switch, Acrylic Stand.
  19. Durst Labometer (Timer) with Power Supply for use with the Condenser Head or a Color Head.
  20. Misc. spare hardware.
  21. Original Manual and Brochure.
  22. Kodak Polymax Contrast Filter Set.
The whole shebang for $600.00 PayPal; preferably to be picked up near my office in Manhattan's Upper East Side; arrangements for shipping may be made. Expect shipment (by FedEx) to be on the expensive side: the column and head section is bulky, heavy and long. It will take 2-3 boxes to send everything safely. Still worth it, in my humble opinion.

I'd take it if I were over there. Great set up and great price. Should not take long.

Thank you for the plug
I checked on how much it would cost to ship to my place in Italy; I knew it would cost a lot but not so much.
Hard to believe this set is still standing. I have L1200, so not looking (but still would if I were close by). Shipping overseas would double its cost with customs etc. at which point it is no longer as tempting.

Happy New Year.

Happy New Year! If I can figure something out I may come to NYC for a visit. Best Regards!

Renato, would you be willing to sell the spare Aristo V54 lamp separately???
Thanks...

You have to sell this already!! I get so tempted when I see this add. I work in your area, finishing up my new darkroom.
But, can't, spend, more, money.
