I believe this is for the Rebel film/digi series. It fits but is not the correct size on something like a 40D. Will not fit the EOS 3 style larger eye pieces.

There are no optics in the extender but it still works well to get your face off the back.

The eyepiece cup is genuine Canon, the extender is generic but both work fine.
