The famous "Green Monster". This is the lighter weight magnesium version. Probably one of the most flexible/capable camera ever built. Outrageous bellows extension (34"), smooth gear-free controls, every movement (swing, tilt, shift) you'd ever need.

Overall in very good condition, bellows are light-tight (though it appears they've been sealed with Plasti-coat), all controls are smooth, special tripod plate included (but not the tripod).

Asking $750 for the camera, the 8x10 back, several lens boards and the aluminum case.

Also have the 4x5 and 5x7 backs available separately, (note that the smaller backs are aluminum, not magnesium).

Will make a deal with the lens: Scheider-Kreuznach Symmar 300mm f/5.6 lens, convertible to 500mm f/12. Shutter works (all speeds a bit slow), a few marks etc but still makes nice photos.

Will split shipping cost with the buyer (lower 48 states only).

The camera without the lens weighs in at exactly 14 lbs. However, I've added a 1/4" aluminum plate (you can see it in the pictures) between the camera base and the tripod adapter. It adds about another pound but really helped stabilize the camera. I'll include the plate with the camera (but not the tripod adapter.)

Actually, the camera is the easy part. By the time you add a lens or two, a couple of film holders and a monster tripod...
There's a reason Ansel had a pack mule and an assistant.

There's a reason Ansel had a pack mule and an assistant.

Early on, Ansel was physically robust and loved hiking...before he resorted to photographing from the road.

The nice thing about pack mules, in addition to the ability to ride them, is that you can eat them.

I'd leap at the opportunity to buy this camera and lens if I had a convenient dip/dunk E6 or C41 lab, or my own, rather than having to rely on "labs" that use rotary processors.

Too heavy for my back. Thanks
I just use a trolley with mine (big wheels are good for going over rocks), fits neatly into suitcase. Wouldn't mind the early version though, bit lighter for setting up on the tripod than my black beast.Solid as a rock in a breeze. Better than my 14x17, have to lash that one to the tripod.
Good luck with the sale, seriously good studio camera and can be used out in the field, I do.

I have eaten horse for 2 years back in Spain when I was at the university, not bad.
I will eat mule in a snap, caramelized onions help, but carrying this baby up hill is not for me. I have actually done the back of the truck thing and it works well but I like to hike.
You guys are a great bunch.

I'll include a pre-production prototype of the SP-8x10 processing tray. Note: this is identical to the production units except it doesn't have the final "heavy" texture on the lid (purely cosmetic.)

My offer still stands, and you can keep the processor.
