Nice

What I would like to know is why that singer and her sister went into that photo shop in first case.
To have made prints from what they took with their smartphones?

2 years ago I stumbled on Tony Iommi at my local photo store.

I was too shy to say hello.

To be precise, that is not about her. But, yes I got your point.

Over here I only saw someone using a disposal camera once within the last 20 years. However, it was this year, and at a photo show.

I saw disposable film cameras for sale at DM stores in Germany. And I visited more than one of them.

Paragraph two, sentence one.

Really classy of her to do this. She could have gotten her film developed and gone on her way but she took the time, instead, to help out total strangers. Nice.

Great! And on the topic of disposable cameras, my 18 year old daughter (who's been hooked on Instax for years), told me when we were in the camera dept at London Drugs, that they are the rage now with young people.

Paragraph two, sentence one.

"On a quest to develop some film,..."

Over here it is so rare that young people bring in film to a camera/photo shop that I have not seen that in the last 20 years and I spend much time at such shops. Only elderly people. Also we got no more shops that process film in house. I even know one big city without a camera store. Film is processed dirt cheap via bring-in at chain-drugstores.

You still get them via those drugstores at many small town in Germany. But as said within the last 20years I only once saw such being used.
And the offer of film at german drugstores is declining. One chain though substituted the late CR film by a 2nd, premiun Kodak CN film.

In general I can only repeat that the situation is very heterogeneous geographically. You see that in the reports here on numbers of encounters with people sporting a film camera.
