So what did I do wrong?

Yesterday I shot some medium format Pan F+ at 50 asa and developed it in Rodinal 1+25 for 6 minutes at 68 degrees.

Well the negs are very thin and they look underexposed. It was a bright sunny day and I used two different meters (which gave me the same readings).

Does this film need to be rated at 25 asa? Any advice is appreciated.

David the timing sounds OK staying with the film I invert for the first minute and then one inversion every 30 seconds.

The only thing I can think of at the moment is that the first minute of inversion is more rapid than usual to get the process started. It doesn't seem to respond as quickly as other Ilford films.

I rate my Pan F Plus at 12 and process in Rodinal 1/100 for 7 minutes. Try some tests and see what happens.

David, If you need suggestions for other dilutions, I've souped a roll today rated at 50 iso 1+50 for 11mins at 20C, the negs look fine as usual. But I've also souped it the same as you in the past and again had no problems.

I've only used the stuff once and processed it in HC110 dil B. Rated it at the 50 asa and if anything the negs were a bit thick.

Have you shot any film other than Pan F in this camera since? Was it ok?

There are a lot of variables at work. Metering technique, the
meters, developer dilution & time, and the film itself. Image contrast
high or low I'd suggest a 1:100 dilution, an ISO 32, and however
much time in the developer it takes. I don't use Rodinal but
think for that contrasty lighting 12 to 15 minutes with a
few inversions each 2 minutes might do. Dan
