Yesterday I shot some medium format Pan F+ at
50 asa and developed it in Rodinal 1+25 for 6 minutes at 68 degrees.
Well the negs are very thin and they look underexposed. It was a
bright sunny day and I used two different meters (which gave me
the same readings).
Does this film need to be rated at 25 asa?
There are a lot of variables at work. Metering technique, the
meters, developer dilution & time, and the film itself. Image contrast
high or low I'd suggest a 1:100 dilution, an ISO 32, and however
much time in the developer it takes. I don't use Rodinal but
think for that contrasty lighting 12 to 15 minutes with a
few inversions each 2 minutes might do. Dan
