So I have this big pretty f.95 Canon lens and several of the last rolls of IR film on earth but I need a Canon 7S body

Did I mention I have no $$ right now.

Lots of LF stuff I could trade though if you no of anyone in both poison's.

I think some IR portraiture with that lens wide open would be a knock out punch.

Oh, I'm also a snob and I think the 7 is ugly. What can I say.

Hi-Ya Matt. You mean micro mini? Nah, the little green guys were cleaning out corners and found me this big pretty lens. I just want to burn some photons with it before they take it back to Zirf.

Isn't that lens Leica screwmount compatible? If so, a Consina Bessa L or R will work - maybe you can cut a trade with Steve Gandy or one of the other Cosina Bessa dealers?

No, they had to forego the threads to make the rear light big enough. There's a funky bayonet mount and the only camera with the matching bayonet to receive it is the Canon 7's afaik. There were some adapters but like the one Erie had for fd and also there was one for C mount cine. If you hold it on the front of a Nikon F it focuses at about 8 inches distant so that's sort of out, although I may do some softy jnanianish macro things with the

Jim, you've met your destiny. Trade the 'dorff for a 7.

I'm not welcome on the RFF site myself - but you may want to do a post over there.

There may be someone with a "beater" 7 who might be willing to work something out.

Are you looking for a "keeper" or just a "one night stand"? If the latter - maybe someone with lend you one?

Probably a one night stand. The lens is on loan too so.........

Anyone want to loan me an old Canon for 6 months? Thanks for asking.

careful with that lens and IR film... shooting it wide open will leave you very prone to focus errors. That Canon F0.95 lens SHOULD fit on something other than the 7... I saw one in a window of an antique store in Buenos Aires on I want to say it was a Canon P, but I could be wrong.

50mm? Hmmmm, I'm thinking recessed lensboard and bag bellows. Maybe, some painter's blue tape to hold a strip (or several strips!) of 35mm inside a 4x5 film holder...Whattaya say Jim? Canon 7 to Betax #5 adapter?

Hey Brad! Naw, on a Deardorff, it would just look normal. You need to squash it on the front of something Leica sized for it to really look impressively massive :D:D:D The 50 takes a 72mm filter. It's BIG! Actually, I guess they were never terribly well loved.

oooohwoo...72mm filters? on a 50mm "Normal" lens? We need to see some photos of this monster!

Still think you might have some fun with it in mounted front of a Packard...oh, wait...2 inch focus. Maybe not.
