So, I took the kids to KOP for a couple of days of spoiling before school starts Tuesday.
On the way back, we go through Wilmington on 95 and pass the turn off headed down 1 for home and the beaches. I drive on over to Newark and find my little honey hole, skirting the north edge of the UD campus.
Cameras Etc.
My daughter just got a Nikon S80 P&S so she wanted a case for it. These guys will have it. While she's talking with the clerk, I wander over to their darkroom section. I show off all the Ilford paper covers to my son. "Yeah, I know these guys."
Em is wrapping it up over by the consignment counter so I meander over to her there. Then I stop Dead Cold about ten feet away. There, in the midst of the D-clutter, lies a beautiful Zone VI 4x5. Yeah, it's in user condition. Needs a couple of acorn nuts to retain some thumb knobs (got them ordered). But this thing looks beautiful. I ask to see it. The guy looks at me and says 'You know about these things?'. Yeah, I know a little.
Movements are great, bellows are light tight, folds like a gem. Hard to say know at $300. So that, the S80 case and a 10ct brick of 135-36 TMY-2 leaves the store with us. The perfect end to a perfect little getaway.
Now, I must play.
