Well, I may have made a mistake. I checked over the reviews of the Gossen Digisix2 meter I had considered due to it's diminutive size and name and ordered one from B&H. Itt arrived today and has some of the worse instructions I've seen for one thing and after figuring it all out took it and two other meters, my F2A and Gossen Luna Pro SBC outside to do some testing. Almost without fail the Digisix2 would read one stop under the other two.

I see no way to calibrate it and it's not even mentioned in the instructions...a real bummer as I hate sending things back. What a PITA. It got good reviews from B&H from all I read hence the reason I bought it. It's just not making it. It reads out on the scale in EV and you transfer that number, say 11 to the top and it gives you all shutter/aperture combinations but as mentioned almost invariably it reads a stop under the other two. the Gossen shows EV as well and after measuring a simple white wall it showed EV 11 whereas the Digisix2 read EV 12. big difference in 125@f8 and 125 @f11.

How do you know that the LunaPro is correct and not the Digisix2? And yes there is the calibration function on the Digisix2. You may have to re-read the manual. It' on page 9.

The Luna Pro was just calibrated by George at Quality Light Metric a few months ago and agrees with the F2A-the Digisix does not. Page 9 doesn't tell you about calibration, it tells you about reading in Incident or Reflective mode.

OK-it's on page 15. I didn't get that far.

The sun had pretty much went down before I could take measurements after changing the meter -1EV but inside I did a few Incident and reflective checks and it's now spot on with my other meters. I'll check outside tomorrow. It seems to me where this meter was calibrated(Germany?) the light must be different there than in the US South.

Nah, it just has been calibrated in metric :whistling:

After the recalibration to -1EV it's now spot on with the Luna Pro and the F2A. The "EV" blinks forever, I suppose, to let you know you've made a change from the factory setting, however.
