I believe Fujifilm is the company which released the widest variety of it's P&S cameras with a 28mm focal length lens back in the 90's. And I believe there were more variants (panorama, date-back, oversea market models etc) other than these listed below.

1990 - Fujifilm Cardia Travel Mini DP (JP) / Discovery Mini Dual (US) / DL-500 (EU)
1991 - Fujifilm Cardia Travel Mini DP2 (JP) / Discovery Mini Dual (US) / DL-500 Wide Panorama (EU)
1991 - Fujifilm Cardia Travel Mini Wide P (JP)
1991 - Fujifilm K-28 (JP)
1992 - Fujifilm Cardia Travel Mini OP (JP) / DL-501 (EU)
1992 - Fujifilm Cardia Travel Mini Everyday OP (JP)
1993 - Fujifilm Cardia Travel Mini Elite (JP) / DL-600 (EU)
1993 - Fufifilm Work Record 28 (JP)
1993 - Fujifilm Work Record OP (JP)
1994 - Fujifilm Cardia Travel Mini Tiara (JP)
1995 - Fujifilm Cardia Travel Mini WP (JP)
1997 - Fujifilm Cardia Travel Mini Tiara2 (JP)
2000 - Fujifilm Smart Shot Plus (JP) (26mm)
2004 - Fujifilm Natura S (JP) (24mm)
2004 - Fujifilm Clear Shot M (JP) (29mm)
2005 - Fujifilm Natura Black (JP) (24mm)
2005 - Fujifilm Clear Shot S AF (JP) (25mm)
2006 - Fujifilm Classe W (JP)

I didn't realise that there were so many before I started maiking a list of them....

i know. curious what the images will look like.
the haptic is nevertheless outstanding.

another member here recommended a Lomo LC-A.
Do you have any experiences with that? It's said that the russian lens is great. Plus it's a small camera

I have had an LC-A+, build quality stunk the place out (considering the price), but I actually quite liked the results, and I found it pleasant to use. They also make the LC-Wide, which is even more expensive, but the results seem sharp. Maybe a used one would be in budget.

I also have the pleasure of using a Nikon 35Ti, which is basically faultless, if you can get the 28Ti, I doubt you would be disappointed.

A Bessa T or L would be great too, the finders and lenses are lovely (My Voigtlander finder was much nicer and clearer than my Leica one).

The MjuII is great. Fully automatic but you can decide on the focus point. You can only override the film speed with appropriate stickers on the cassette but it is do-able and there is no means of attaching filters to it that I can see.

However the fully automatic speed/aperture combo gets it rights almost 100% of the time and it fits into your hand.

Again - thanks all y'all for the tips!

This is the first time I've heard someone in Germany use that colloquialism!

In parts of the US, that is proper English...extra points for knowing the plural form!:D

Olympus XA 4 and have a bunch of money left over for film. 28MM lens and neat clamshell design for easy pocketing. Bill Barber

I'll second this one. A friend loaned me her XA4 from her vast collection. Wonderful camera to use.
