I don't have the money to shop around and compare all the emulsions out there, so I'm relying on the combined experience of you guys. I'm looking for a slide film that (if that is even possible) doesn't have the saturated colors of Fuji Velvia, or Provia. These are the ones I've tried and even Provia is too saturated for me. Can anyone point me in the direction I'm supposed to be going? Or, alternatively, explain that the emulsion I'm looking for doesn't exist. Either way, I'd appreciate any feedback.

Fuji Astia??

Overexpose slightly??

Since we're in a hybrid forum, how about just knocking down the saturation a bit post-scan?

Try 64 tungsten, Kodak or Fuji, through an 85B filter at 50 ASA. More latitude and less saturation.

Fuji Astia.
Make sure you do not underexpose, in fact if anything give it more light than needed to start with.
And make triple sure that you're getting a reasonably new emulsion: Fuji has slightly altered the characteristics of Astia, particularly for scanning.

Okay, great, I'll try Astia first since I don't have an 85B yet.
Also, post processing is not an option because I shoot slide film mainly for projection.
