Is there a tutorial somewhere that shows how to size paper?

There are as many ways to size paper as there are people doing it

http://www.alternativephotography.com/wp/paper/the-sizing-survey-the-results might give you some ideas. The exact materials and techniques depend upon the paper and it's intended use.

For gum printing, I use gelatin + aldehyde.
For carbon, gelatin + acrylic polymer + aldehyde.
