Hello this my first post here. Im currently trying to build a camera for wildlife photography or at least to photograph animals. I didn't test it yet but I have a Nikkor T ED 600mm on a Copal shutter which goes up to 1/125s. I will try to work with that but I am still searching for faster shutters which could go up to 1/250 or even 1/500. I know the Compur 3 can go up to 1/200 but I couldn't manage to dismount the front lens off the copal shutter yet.
I bought an old Sinar Digital shutter which sadly doesn't seem to function correctly. And I also read that it would break easily after some time.

So I would like to know if there are other Sinar shutters which can be mounted behind the lens and I could use outside with no big computer or at least put the old technology in a mobile device to control it.

I would be also interested in other digital shutters for copal 3 or behind the lens which are faster than 1/125s.

the mechanical Sinar/Copal shutter all max out at 1/125 I believe, so they are not going to get any faster than a lens mounted copal 3. I'm not very familiar with the digital era shutters, but I'd worry that most of that first generation digital view camera gear is very old, bulky, and didn't age very well. I suspect they really worked best in studios, not in the field.

Another option--if you're using a Nikko 600 on 4x5--find the longest lens that fits on a Copal 1 shutter, and get a 6x7 or 6x9 roll film back. You could get the Nikkor-T 360/500/700 set which is Copal 1 so fires up to 1/400 (though really all these lenses are not going to hit their top speed very accurately.)

I chose the T ED 600 version because of the aperture of F/9. Because I probably have to push the film (HP5) up to 1600 or something for the quick shutter speed. The 700mm has F/16 would probably be to hard to get the shutter speeds. Also the grain would be less in 4x5 than 6x7.
