I just got a good deal on a great Sinar F 4x5 with 150mm lens, bellows, rail extensions and bag bellows along with a Fresnel lens. I mean, this is in outstanding shape! Clean, scuff-free, beautiful glass too! All from a pro that is totally digital now.

I am itching to start using it but need to do a bit more homework on learning about it before playing with it. The 90mm lens was gone but I will find one eventually. So, with a 140mm lens, and the 150mm that comes with this camera, a 210mm on the way from another apug member and eventually a 90mm, I will be set pretty well to do a lot of exploring in the LF world.

I want all you apug-ers to know, it was due to one of you that I even found out about the listing in my local area. If not for that, I probably would have missed out on this deal. Every one of you makes a difference and that is worth pointing out. I have gotten more information, feedback and good advice from you than I could ever read though I do read a lot and learn that way too.

I am sure I will have questions once I start taking 4x5s, but I can rely on apug and its members to help me out at those times.

Best to all of you and Thanks, very much

Congrats! Best rail camera ever made, IMHO. They can do everything except hand held work, and do it with very little compromise.

Sinar F's are a great deal. It's amazing how these cameras that were high end professional tools can be had for peanuts these days, and it's not as if they are any less good than they originally were, or that a current model F2 can do much more than an F.
