Dear All,

I got so hooked up in the mono sections I never introduced myself, very rude and I am very sorry.

I work for ILFORD Photo / HARMAN technology Limited and try where I can on the mono related forums to advise on what we are doing, also get feedback on our products and the products APUG members would like or need.

Although it is my living, I am passionate about black & white, I have been since I saw my first print come up in the dev...many, many years ago.

If any of you are going to the APUG conference in Toronto I will see you there, for new members, I have been most impressed how virtually every APUG member will freely offer advice ( and very good advice ) its nice to see so many people committed to helping others.

Simon.

Hi Simon,
Welcome onboard! It's great to have you here. It's very exclusive for us to get first hand information from Ilford but also having a dialogue in both directions. Thanks for the effort you're making. I hope you will enjoy APUG and find some good inspiration here.
cheers,
Abeku

Hi Simon,

Welcome!! While I shoot primarily Fuji Velvia, I am really impressed with what Ilford has done, and your commitment personally, to seeking out how Ilford can best support the B&W community. While it has been years since I shot B&W regulary, when I did it was always HP5 or FP4. My only wish for B&W would be for QuickLoads (but I realize that isn't practical).

Thanks for the intro, Simon, but I wouldn't consider the lack of one as rude.

It's nice to see an Ilford person sharing info here on APUG.

FWIW, I'm the same rbarker who acts as the volunteer moderator on Café Ilfopro.

Welcome Simon. I am a big Ilford user and supporter. Love the products and very happy to see what Ilford is doing.

Hi Simon, thanks for the intro and welcome from New Zealand. Big user of Ilford products also, and always excited to hear what is happening with them. Knowing that the company is actively moving forward gives confidence to really push what we're doing with our photography. So it's surely a great benefit to APUG to see you here.
Best, John.

The way Ilford has acted on this forum makes me wish I shot B&W more often.

Simon,
welcome!
Ilford products I started my way into B&W photography with years and years ago and I sincerely hope will be a never ending story!!
Keep on going, PLEASE!!!

Great to have you aboard, Simon!

Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. Glad to have you here.

Glad you are here Simon. This is very heartening, to have a direct representative from one of the big photo companies participating here.

Welcome Simon. Every day I read with despair about another product off the market and your input and feedback certainly gives a much needed air of optimism to the analogue b&w market.
See you in Cheshire next year at the Ilford visit.

Hello Simon,

A sincere welcome. Thanks for your helpful participation. It gives me alot of confidence to know that in continuiong to use Ilford products I can count on a ready ear for my questions. Your regular posts here have put a human face onto a corporate image, whereas the other big company still refers us to a "toll-free number".

Sean.... Can we keep Simon?

Yeah... we PROMISE to feed him & play with him & keep him all happy!

Welcome, Simon! This is a great place (as you have discovered), and the addition of a representative of my favorite company is most welcome!

Sit! Stay! (See, Sean... he's trained!!!) :D

Welcome to APUG Simon. Now that there are two Geordies here I'm sure that we can take on the world.

Gawd 'elp!

Plans of world domination aside, very nice to have you with us Simon. I can't make it to Toronto (which I'm gutted about; I loved my visit there this year!) but hope that you'll try and join the UK contingent in the Dales in April.

Big Texas Welcome, Simon. If you ever find yourself in this part of the world, give us a call, would be happy to show you around. Thanks to you and Ilford.

Welcome Simon.
I am from Greece where Ilford is king and I use almost nothing else than Ilford.
Its great to have a representative onboard, especially if he can transfer our thought and wishes to the company.
You seem like a nice fellow, so it will be wonderful to have you around.
Share your photographs with us!

Not sure if I said this in the other thread so, welcome Simon!
Thankyou to Ilford/Harman for sticking out the hard times and keeping the faith!
My father used Ilford back in the fifties, sixties and seventies, and I have been following his example since the seventies. I rarely use film from any other manufacturer (unless I need something slow like 25ASA  ), please keep up the good work!

Andy.
