Hi,
Being a very old silver print boy I find it hard to belly up to the bar when it comes to pigment prints from a digital printer.
Has anyone tried the silver prints made directly from a digital file? I do not know exactly how they do it, maybe a laser or something. Any experience or information on what I can expect will be appreciated.
thanks,
Robert

I've had lots of colour prints done that way - particularly when local Costcos still offered photo printing, because all their machines used that procedure.
I prefer them to most inkjet prints. Sadly, with the interruption of supply of Kodak papers, my favorite versions are hard to find now.
Ilford/Harman's labs do the same with black and white. Here is their link: https://www.ilfordphoto.com/black-white-silver-gelatin-prints-digital-files/
That is what the Ilford Multigrade Express roll papers are designed for - they are optimized for the very short exposures that the laser printers provide. Another link: https://www.ilfordphoto.com/multigrade-rc-express-pearl

I disabled "digital" but still this thread shows up... one more Photrio enigma.
But by this I feel obliged to give some comment...

The manufacture of the Lambda was shortlived and cancelled more than ten years ago.

I can highly recommend the services from 'White Wall'. Check them out. They return beautiful prints on PE or fiber for reasonable $$$.

Thank all of you for the help. I'll check in to some of these options.
I know lots of folks do alt prints and that may be one way to go. I'm not too crazy about the making curves, Quad Tone Rip and clogging printers though.
I appreciate you!
Robert
