My father had a workshop full of power tools whose purpose was apparently only decorative.

Which in itself is still a purpose. So what is your problem?

This is freaky. I have 2,169 songs in my iTunes library and they are playing on "Random."
This just cropped up after I posted in number 31 above

. Now if this were paid advertising people would be all up in arms that the computer is tracking them.

I see you folks have the same postal service in the UK that we have here in the Colonies. That's oddly comforting for some reason.

We're being tracked w/ that software:

"To process transactions, Apple must collect data such as your name, purchase, and payment information. Communicate with You. To respond to communications, reach out to you about your transactions or account, market our products and services, provide other relevant information, or request information or feedback".

Sorry, man. Didn't mean to show you the glitch in the matrix.

And I find the "market our products" aspects of the modern internets remarkably creepy. Creepy enough my phone seldom leaves the house. Even though I know that's silly.

Reminds me of the turquoise bakelight phone on our family's kitchen wall where I grew up.
It never left the house.
If it had, we would have worried!

I'd like to get a few of those Decorative Power Tools (just in case, you never know), but have to get up early Friday for the Sunday Mass on Saturday.

And speaking of infamy ... this outlet(?) was in Salisbury, UK until a few weeks ago. Salisbury has some history of the un-just kind of cremation: see here. Considerate parking also a speciality. There could be a burning hurry to get in here. Or out.

The "f" is or was a logo for "Factory Records" that made the record.
