I have an almost pristeen set of cells for the Cooke 158mm f/6.5 VIIb lens. It covers 8x10, and is maybe the most beloved of lenses for that format in that focal length.

Alas, Cooke never offered them in a shutter, and I don't have a barrel. Does anyone know if there's a shutter these can be mounted into directly?

I thank you and my Kodak 2D thanks you...

Thank you; I hope so...

The outside threads of the front cell measure 30.34mm. the rear cell measures 24.60mm. These are to the outside of the threads, so the inside of the shutter would be ever-so-slightly less to allow for thread overlap. I hope youlll let me know, either way...

Again, my thanks. I'd love to get this little lens going again...

Hi Mark
I have a 158mm Cooke VIIb which I fitted into a Copal #1 shutter I had to have two adapters made (1 front 1 rear) which cost approx. £50 ($100) at a local engineering workshop here in the Isle Of Man, I hope that you can find a shutter which the cells fit directly into.
Good luck
