How does one PM? I just signed up for this site today for this purpose. Pardon my being new.
Welcome.
People with low post counts are unable to access the PM function automatically, due to some recently added anti-spam protections.
However, you might want to note that this is a ten year old thread, which has been awakened from the dead!

I appreciate your knowing an outlet, but I would literally rather buy a metal roller to squish material out, maticulously measure 0.2mm of a gap in said roller, and buy nylon or polyester fabric to rubberize and put through the roller to make curtains from scratch, than pay $750 for one curtain.

I found an outlet on eBay that sells a bolt long enough to use for 4x5 SLRs for $88 shipped.

Hello Jon,

I'm inquiring about buying shutter curtain material.
I'm trying to rebuild an RB Auto Graflex 4x5. My dimensions are 14cm x 181cm. I've been looking everywhere for material. Please let me know how we can get in contact so I can get you my address and pay you. Many thanks.

Derek
You can refurbish the original cloth if it's not torn. Remove the shutter, soak the cloth in a jar of lacquer thinner to remove the rubberized coating, and then when you are down to the bare fabric with no rubberized coating, paint it with a few thin layers of flat black artists acrylic paint. then reassemble.
