Shutter Button on a Crown Graphic

I just got my first Graphic, and I have a question about the shutter button. When I depress the shutter button on the case, I have to push it forward in order to reset it. Is this the normal behavior of this kind of button, or is it in need of repair?

What you describe is not normal. The body-mounted shutter release should spring forward on its own.
