That Sunday 'job' I have sure does interfere with my social calendar!!
If "noonish", how long might the festivities last?

With this crowd? There's no telling. I would guess at least several hours.

My kinda' crowd!!

Sounds like a winner! I'll see if I can borrow the "Presbyterian Chopper" to get down from Maine a little sooner!

OK. So now we have a group of people who say they're coming on the 18th. How about workshops... any offers? I will be happy to demonstrate the making of a "poly-gravure" plate from a positive transparency. I have the light and the etching press all set up to go. I'll also put the gallery/studio phone line here for any lost souls on the 18th. We can talk you in if you get "misplaced." 617-993-5282

Come on, Suzanne. This is a little more incentive. You said you wanted to see how (there was a url link here which no longer exists) were made.

OK - I had gotten the day off from the wife, and had planned on heading south for this event, but the weather report is now saying snow with 'significant accumulation' up here in Maine - Looking at Web weather forecasts for the Boston area for sunday, they are vague - indicating snow, but not how much - does anybody have a feel for how ugly it will be on Sunday?

I can't make it on Sunday, we are heading south... er, to Connecticut for couple of days, where I'm sure it will be far warmer, not. Looks like the snow will start late in the day, and accumulate mostly overnight... Sunday into Monday.

I'm bummed that I will miss this... I want to see Whitey's photogravure process.

Well, folks - looks like snow is going to postpone our plans. Any alternate date proposals? The PHSNE Auction is the first of February. The mid-day would be taken up with that, but we might follow it in the later afternoon with a gathering in Belmont, if anyone is interested. Distance between venues - about 3/4 miles.

Other options?

I think that leaves next weekend as the only other possibility. The show runs through Feb 6 and comes down on the 7th.

Drat and double drat!!

Can't make 'fast break' on the 25th; perhaps the parlay on Feb. 1 as Whitey has suggested.

I could do the following weekend? The 25th. (You know, I ordered the snow from the New England weather gods so we would have to reschedule!! :D :D )

Thank you Suzanne... that gives me a little more time to make some prints. :D

Wimper, wimper, whine, whine, wine. We who live in the part of New England that actually gets snow know that the quality of snow removal in MA is sometimes not so good. Therefore, the gentleman from Cape Cod not withstanding, we should declare ourselves wise wimps and move the entire shebang to the 25th. Same time, same channel, same promise of goodies and fun. The anti-wimp among you could bring proof of how you braved the elements this Sunday to bring us wondrous photographs when we gather.

This means the auction on the first is a chance for another gathering.

The other alternative is the 1st, since Holly has arranged for a group of our former neighbors to make the trek from Cambridge. A fun group with at least one photographer amongst them who would no doubt love to schmooze with us.

I still vote for next Sunday Jan 25. Chris Pratt also voted for next weekend via telephone - she couldn't make tomorrow's because of a bad cold.

Wimps!!!!! I've had my share of skidding off the road driving in snow storms. Don't need that much excitement at my age!!!
