I would like to share my first go with Kodak TRI-X 400. Nikon f100 with Nikon 50 mm F1.8D. I sent the film to Thedarkroom.com for processing. These scans are the default and are the smallest they do and next time I want to try the best scan just to see the difference. I am super excited to shoot film again and just fell in love with TRI-X. Feedback please

PS : The film went through three carry on scanners with me unexposed and four on the way back after being shot.

Plenty of Tri X was used in Vietnam by war photographers a few years ago during the conflict. If it was good enough then, it's good enough now

Beautiful photographs. I'm so tempted to make a trip to Vietnam. Not sure where to go though.

Absolutely lovely!

And just FYI, the darkroom has three scanning size options - the middle option (an additional $5 per) really isn't that much bigger, so if you are looking for enlargements 8x10 +, you might want to opt for the super scan. Or just get the standard, see what you like, and take the negs to someone who can do professional enlargements.

The scenes look familiar with me...

If anyone is going to Vietnam in the future, you are welcome to my public darkroom in Hanoi. We have everything to process BW film, from 135 up to 20x24 (well, not sure if anyone could bring that big boy), enlargers from 135 to 4x5. I've purchased a Jobo CPP2, some tanks, drums and Tetenal chemicals and they are on the way, so we will be able to process C41, E6 as well as RA4, from 135 up to 20x24. You could even develop your film by yourself. I'm also in the process of buying a Kodak Creo IQsmart3 scanner, so a hybrid workflow with scanning is likely possible in the future.

Just bring a lot of film and ready to shoot .
