Took some time off work for a bit of R&R and visited the capital city of Myanmar, Yangon. For this trip, I brought over a couple of cameras, including the XPan. The Idea was very much like the Cambodia trip last year: Shoot mostly digital, with some film on the side. What ended up happening was me shooting film on the XPan for mostly the entire trip. Managed to shoot some digital at night as well when the light turned into night, but I was glad I had enough rolls of film for the 8 days I was there. These panoramic shots are the ones I'm most proud of.

A little bit about the trip: Stayed only in Yangon as I wanted to get to to know the city a little better and take my time shooting some street scenes. The Burmese people are very friendly, like the guidebooks all say and the city itself has so many old buildings lining up the streets. It was insanely hot tho.

Here the some shots.

Great application of the XPan format!
What film(s) did you use?

I love these, especially 6, 12 and 19 but all show a good sensibility. It looks like what I would, or would hope to, shoot if I were there.

Congrats on making the most of your trip!

Thanks all. I had a wonderful time exploring the streets. Yangon is as safe as everyone says it is.

Film used were Portra 400, Fuji Xtra 400, Fuji Industrial 400, Fuji C200, and Agfa Vista 200.

Wow! I thought I'd finally given up the GAS making me wanting to buy an Xpan and now you've started it all over again. Gorgeous shots!

Thanks everyone. The XPan is a truly amazing camera. I also have a problem with GAS and I switch cameras more often than normal people change clothes, so to find something that I can shoot for days on end and not get bored by it just shows how amazing the perspective this camera is able to provide.

These are fantastic images - much better than photos I got when I visited Yangon. Like @piffey has said, when I see work like this it makes me reconsider wanting to get an Xpan once again. But I already travel with too many cameras, so it's always a hard sell.
