Shen Hao - New Knobs Larger?

Several of my customers report that Shen Hao has changed the knobs on their cameras and that the new knobs are longer (they stick out further thus changing the dimensions of the camera.) This changes the case recommendations.

Shen Hao has not changed the dimensions listed on their website.

I could use some help. If I could get:

1. A description of what the changes look like (rubber insert, different metal, ???)
2. An accurate measurement of the older style knob (the length of the knob)
3. An accurate measurement of the new knob.

If anyone can provide some clues, I will piece them together. I need to change my database to guide users to a case selection that is correct.

Which Shen should be the starting point I'd think.

Hi Nick:

I believe the casework will be unchanged. It is the knobs that have changed thus if I can get those data, I can apply it to all SH cameras.

In the past the 4x5 hardware was different then the other cameras. I can't remember if the FCL hardware is different then the older line.

I sent an email to Shen Hao asking them to please update their website. Hopefully they will do a kind deed and update it.

I just got a brand new one Wednesday!!! I will look at it, if there are specific measurments you want off it--let me know. I have no idea what the "old" one was but I can tell you all you want to now about mine.

If you could give me the model and the overall width with the knobs and then the distance the knobs stick out from the wood.

Are these the knobs that have a rubberized inset?
