Hi

as a restarter in B&W wet darkroom I still got some unopened developer agfa studional which was stocked dark, cool & dry for +10yrs.

Will this one best be put into the chems recyling park or does developer keep that long without aging or breaking down?

When there's any risk it won't do it's work on my film I'll get rid of it and buy fresh chems to restart my B&W passion.

Tnx

Studionol is great stuff, and probably will be fine. You won't know until you try it,
so TRY IT !

Thanks for replying df.
I'm planning to buy some B/W film on the cheap to experiment without real loss if the film gets messed up.
Wil post result of my tests with a +-14 yr old studional dev after that.

A lot of the time you can visually get a feel before committing it to solution.

If the opened package prior to mixing has all sorts of little black bits in it, those were the grains of developing agent that have partially or totally oxidized while in storage.

I have mixed up almost black developers, and used them in a pinch but don't expect stellar results.
