That is a really small photo! It is hard to make out the necessary detail. A larger, more detailed pic of the proprietary end would help.
It also would be very helpful to know what it is designed to fit: item, model name, model number.
If the lead has a Sharp part number, that might help as well.

That cable looks like a fairly simple arrangement of two 3.5mm 'mono' jack plugs and two standard RCA plugs. Something like this is easy to put together for anyone who has some experience using a soldering iron, using standard parts from any electronics components retailer.

You could also search for "RCA to 3.5mm jack mono" and buy two separate cables. Together they should do the same as the Sharp original product.

Hi, thanks for the replies. I have some photos below. This is all of the information I have I’m afraid. As you can see the plugs are different sizes. Hope this helps you to identify what l need I’m trying to convert some old video8 tapes to dvd

Sorry I couldn’t add the photos. It’s a Sharp VL-A10H. The video jack plug is about 1/8” and the audio is larger. Hope this helps

Are you sure? The likely sizes would be 3.5mm and 2.5mm (1/8" and 1/10"). These are standard connectors. You could try if a standard headphone jack from a modern headset fits in the larger of the two (with the camcorder powered off). If so, it's 3.5mm.

What I found about the cable is that on one end it has dual plug 1 2.5mm for video and 1 3.5mm for audio. The other end has 2 RCA connector to connect to a TV. I think the yellow is for video and the white is for audio. Short of having a cable with dual plug he can simply use 2 cables. One with a 2.5mm on one end and RCA on the other end and another cable with 3.5mm one one end and a RCA on the other.

Hi, thanks for all your advice. I think I’ll try the two cable method. Yes you are correct the jack plugs are 2.5 and 3.5. I’ll let you know how I get on.

And for future consideration, if you are having trouble uploading photos, first re-size them to ~1000 pixels on the long dimension, and then save them as a jpeg with quality of less than 100 - I use 80.

Hi, it works! I bought a 3.5 jack to 3 RCA output and used the white and red audio RCA plugs. I also used a straight 2.5 jack to yellow video RCA plug. Thanks again for all your help
