I was just over visiting the big auction site to see in the price of GP3 in 120 size had come down in price at all and noticed that a seller had GP3 on 20"X24" size format. Not cheap, but nice to know they are branching out in format size anyway. As for the GP3 in 120? Still more than I'm willing to pay and will spend my money on Ilford stock since I can buy it just a cheap or cheaper. JohnW

Let the chinese made our films when our
US / Europe / Japanese manufacturers may tell us (in the near future ....just some years from now) : It is impossible to produce film today - it would be much to expensive - film is off now.
My guarantee is : then the chinese will find a way! !!!!!!
But quality of GP3 is varying is that still true?

with regards

No, the new batches just before the factory move were excellent and this new run should be just as good or better. I also bet those sneaking-smart Chinese have figured out a way to get around the "backing paper bleed numbers" Kodak had, or still has?, with their 120 film.

I cut my MF teeth on GP3. The only thing going for it was the cheap price. Look Mr. China, I bought your film for one reason and one reason only.

It. Is. Cheap.

If I want to shoot because it's cool, or hip or nice I'll shoot Kodak. Your film can be wonky and not in a good way.

That being said, I trust the price will fall as soon as some of it falls off the back of the line etc etc...This is China we are talking about after all. Made too much? Expiring? Change the date and lower the price!

In short : Good News !
