I just uploaded an image done in the bromoil technique...

I'd love it if you would tell me if it works, or if the way is long yet..

Your talent can be scarry. I really like this image, but I prefer it when you capture more modern images using this 'old' medium.

Why others didn't respond to your shameless post is puzzling -- you may have scared them away.

Didn't scare me away. I like it too. I don't do bromoil myself so I can't make any technical comment. On the aesthetic side, can it be softened just a tad? I think if it were just a slight bit softer it would help overall. Getting it softer probably jumps into the technical side. Nevertheless, I can take it the way it is.

I too like it, though I prefer nostalgic processes to render less-nostalgic subjects. This one looks very 1895 even without the bromoil tones. Is this a random experiment or a deliberate step toward a shift to such processes for you?

I am - besides the rehearsing the technical aspects - trying to find images/motives that go with this technique. I agree that this is a bit corny/kitchy. and it is an old image I found.
so I will upload a more "modern" image to compare..

I am trying to get theese more soft, but is is difficult, as the result often just looks "grey"..
