If one sells items on eBay is PayPal only still an option?
If there is a choice is eBay pay or PayPal better?
I can do either?

Advice please.

from what I have seen as a buyer, one is presented with e-bay pay, and one of the options (but for how long?) is to pay E-bay with Paypal.
it is a real downgrade, as your credit card statment shows "Paypal- Ebay" rather then someting like "Paypal-bobJunk" so it is almost imposible to find which item a given transaction is connected with.

I don't want to let e-bay have access to my credit card, I kind of perfer that only paypal has that information.

But eBay has my checking account. Just one hack away from disaster. At least PayPay has credit card protection from fraud in between.

eBay and Paypal (who is NOT your pal) divorced each other some time ago, so you don't have to sell w/ Paypal anymore if you don't wish to. Plus, eBay has completely revamped their site. Now I can pay w/ a credit card, Paypal, a debit card, from my checking account, etc. If I sell something now, eBay gets the funds and sends them to my bank account within a few days after a sale.

Much better than before, and the kickback to them seem about the same. I also use their website to print my shipping labels. It's cheaper than using my postal account, and a lot cheaper than just paying full price for shipping.

This is for the United States, I have no idea how anything works anywhere else in the world.

+1. Ebay's insistence that I give them my checking account info is the reason I no longer sell anything on Ebay.

yes, I am very nervous to give anyone my checking account number.

Have you ever written a check? Guess what's printed at the bottom.

Ebay is my least favorite way to sell something. But it's often the easiest/fastest way. I've sold things on ebay that did not sell here or elsewhere. Even after increasing the price to compensate for the fees. I've read of issues with their payment system, but I have not experienced any in about 10 sales transactions.

I keep a separate no-fee checking account with low balance for ebay, paypal, and venmo.

I recently sold one item one eBay the new way. I should set up a separate account, even it I never use it again to protect my main account.
