Sekonic L-558 meter. $360 shipped to your door. As-new condition, with case, basically new battery (1 month old, used on two outings) which I'll remove from the meter before shipping (but include in box), box, instructions, lens cap. This is a great meter; I used the delta-EV function a lot (it lets you add an exposure reading to "memory", then displays the number of EV steps away from that reference for anything you point the spot meter at).

Does it display an EV, or any information at all, in the viewfinder, or only on the LCD?

Viewfinder display includes shutter speed, aperture, delta-EV, EV, etc, depending on the mode. It has several fields so you can see shutter & aperture (or shutter & delta-EV) simultaneously. Of course spot metering also updates the LCD display so you can check it out after metering.

It's also smart about ambient light levels, turning on the backlight when working in dark conditions.

Very good! I used a newer Sekonic multi meter once that didn't tell you anything in the viewfinder. You had to look on the LCD to get any information. Very dumb design, that one. (Was it a 700-something? Very newish, fancy, expensive meter.)

The 558 really hits the sweet spot, feature-wise, between the older 508 and the total moonshot overkill of the 758. Got one last fall and love it. Great for studio work. The twin ISO setting is killer if you're using filters and allows dial-in of filter factor on ISO2--just hit it for the added exposure reading. Typical bomb-proof Sekonic build quality. I degree spot readouts in the viewfinder are especially nice.

Sold!

I regret seeing this off, but... major gear overhaul going on, gotta do it to buy the next magic bullet
