Seiko Shutter part missing

I've discovered that my Fujinon 250 WS 6.7 is unable to be used with a shutter release cable because a small part of the shutter release mechanism has gone missing. The piece which the end of the release cable pushes against and which is attached to the shutter release. It seems to have just decided to drop off somewhere. I'm trying to figure out how to rig up something so I can use the shutter release. Very annoying. Any ideas? I can even recall what the piece would have looked like?
Anyone out there have an old junker shutter of this type who might be willing to sell me this little piece?

A dead shutter may be easier to find than just the part but you could try Flutot's camera repair.
Curious though, is that damage in the housing where the part goes?

This screenshot from a ebay listing shows a 1mm to 1.5mm diameter pin attached to the base os the lever.

I cannot tell if it is threaded in or bonded with an adhesive, or welded on during manufacturing.
A better picture of the release pin side will help.

Yep, you're probably right John. Hoping that someone might have an old junker for parts. There is a hole in the shutter release lever, where the missing part would be connected to.

Thanks Shutterfinger. I think this might be from a newer version of this shutter. The one I have has a hole in the shutter lever. The newer version looks to be all one piece.

Then get a length of brass rod that will just fit into the hole or turn a piece down until it will just press in and secure with JB Weld if the inside of the hole is smooth, thread the replacement if the hole is threaded.

-) You could either screw or cement a screw into that hole.
-) You could cement a aluminium block onto the lever instead of that rod.
-) You could bend a strip of brass at right angle and cement it onto the lever instead of that rod.

I was just building a model the other day that had this special nut. It is threaded all the way through and one end accepts a 1.5mm hex driver to tighten it. I'd use something like that.

Thanks everyone for some great ideas! I've ordered some small micro machine screw (0-80) and nuts. It seems that they should be small enough for the hole. And then just load up the end of the screw with nuts so it creates a hexagonal post.
I'm going to give this a try before going to more expensive measures.
