Hello, I am thinking about purchasing some LF equipment to get started, and was looking for some feedback, as to whether this is a fair deal, whether it's all necessary, and perhaps what else I may need. Thanks for your time.

wista dx vista VI, excellent shape ($760), Beattie brightscreen ($80), Cambo 45 degree view hood ($135),210/5.6 Schneider Symmar-S normal lens ($300),10 Fidelity Elite Double Cut-Film Holders ($180).

It all totals around $1600. What are your thoughts? thanks!

I wonder only about the lens and the film holders. If they are in really great condition I think $18 per holder would be fine, but if they are well used, I would think maybe more in the $10 per range. The lens seems maybe a little high. One very much like it (there was a url link here which no longer exists) I think that the camera is probably close to what I would expect, I really don't know about the finder and brightscreen.

Edit: I see now that you have already seen the listing for that lens. Oops.
