ID-11 is the same as D76, so try and find info on D76 and TriX. Massive Dev.Chart on www.digitaltruth.com

Ilford recommend 7:30 for 400 asa in stock ID11. If your rating it at 250 then it's more or less a case of pulling by 1 stop. Kodak's recommendation is for -1 minute per stop. I guess 6 to 6:30 would be a good starting point.

You can use Microdol X diluted 1:3 for good grain and good sharpness. Tri-X at 250 is just right for Microdol.

Hello Sean,

I've quit a lot of experience for this combo.
Did some calibrations.
Rated as 250, and depending off course your method, your lightmeter, your objectif and your camera
(first minute every 10 sec and then every 30" in a small tank)
a good starting point is 7' to 7' 30" by 20°C in ID 1+1!

Printed on Ilford MG IV Warmtone will give you fine results.

Massive Dev Chart says 9.5 min. for ISO 200 i ID11 1+1.
I have developed it for 11.5 minutes for 320. So I would try pretty much in between:

@ISO 250 and develop for 10.5 min. in ID11 1+1

Kodak is talking about 9' 3/4 small tank and 11' large tank. For D76, at 400 ISO

Here with a modern 50mm 1.8 lens, in 400 ml solution (200ml ID+200ml H2O), with the film pre-soaked, in a Paterson tank, every 30" the calibration gave good results with 7'30"" to 8' minutes, off course film rated at 250.
I can give you to-morrow the density figures, if you want.

I'm looking forward for your further findings.
