I have an RRB print dryer -- 12" belt type with glazing drum. It's all in working order but I prefer to dry my prints by other means. Since I need the space and money, I've decided it might be best to sell it on.

I picked the dryer up for a bargain so I've not idea of its monetary value. Does anyone know what these things go for nowadays?

zero hard to give away, at least in my experience.

Have to agree, I had two and after 3 or 4 years trying to sell or give them away they had to be scrapped.

Try posting here in the classifieds and be open to offers, you might be lucky.

I've pretty much abandoned using mine for ferrotyping (which I did all the time in the days of single-weight Polymax Fine Art) and use mine now to flatten air dried prints face down on the belt. Works beautifully.

Yes, whereever I see them they are either given away or have zero bids on them. I recon most of them ends up on the scrapheap. They started to go out of fashion by the time RC paper becamer popular, i.e. a couple of photographic generations ago.
As with many other beautiful pieces of machinery, they've dropped to no value at all these days.

I did try to sell a 20" Kodak model a few years ago, then tried to give it away, which also had no takers. Later we had a flood in our basement darkroom and most of the water and plaster came down onto the glazer! I'm afraid it ended up in a skip when we moved out. Don't know if you are in the UK / South East but if so maybe see if Mr Cad in Croydon will take yours?

someone has just given the school a lot of beautiful darkroom equipment, including a very large besler dryer. Now trying to figure out what to do with the dryer. It looks new, and it would be a shame to put it out on the curb.
