I keep promising myself no more GAS, and then I see something and stick a silly bid on it, and win it, resulting recently in a minty Zeiss Nettar that looks like it has never been used with all original receipts and paperwork for ~£30ish (shutter was completely gummed, but now working fine) and a superb Retina Reflex S (bought as a non-runner, but now working perfectly after a bit of guidance from Chris Sherlock) for £3.60 + postage! The Nettar is a great - my first pocketable 6x6, and the Retina is a mechanical marvel with excellent lenses (I already had 28mm, 50mm and 135mm from my Retina IIIS). I figure by buying these cameras and bringing them back to working order I am doing my bit to keep them alive. Both new acquisitions are in use. Significant other doesn't notice the odd new one any more ;-)

Now that I have had the cameras that I want for several years, I have not had any bouts of GAS. There is hope for you yet.

I have all the cameras I desire and have only bought two in the last 25 years, If I have disposable income to spend on my photography I spend it on ensuring they are professionally maintained occasionally so I come home with pictures, not excuses

I, too, have all I want, and way (so much) more. No argument, Benjiboy, that "disposable income" is better spent on equipment maintenance, film and paper (assuming your goal, like mine, is to become a better photographer). That said, with give-away prices on film bodies...sometimes homeless F2s look so forlorn... :whistling:

I have all the bodies I want, certainly more than I need. I never let that stop me though!

+1. I think you and I are on the same page, flatulent1. Curiously, however, my GAS, would seem to be restricted to Nikon bodies. I have never had the urge to purchase any additional Leica bodies (I actually sold my M4P a while back because of lack of use) or Hasselblad bodies (I sold my EL/X two or so years back for thee same reason). Now, as for the Nikons, well...at current prices...I guess I will have to bear the burden of the problem of proper camera rotation...:D
