Since I'm a big fan of Foma film I am trying to find a good source to score them in the EU. Unfortunately there seems to be a problem finding them recently. Fotohuis ROVO in Holland doesn't seem to have any large stock anymore (Tried to order 40 rolls and the site told me they had not that much in stock), Macodirect doesn't seem to offer any EU banktransfer method (don't have a Creditcard and the paypal system in belgium sucks big time) and finally I had a look at the Baryfilm site in France but it doesn't list it in roll film in fomapan 100.

I also looked at the site of Foma to see for a distributor in Belgium but it lists a company that is not into photographic material at all, it's just a transport firm with very little info to go on.

Anybody an idea where to get it? it must be possible to pay with an EU banktransfer without any cost (this rulz out England in any case).

Can highly recommend this APUG sponsor Fomafoto, great service & prices.

Ian

Yeah, I saw that and followed the link. Unfortunately, only paypal so it seems and it's a serious hassle to work with that for me. I will keep it in mind if anything else fails to emerge.

We can accept banktransfer. You have to go through ordering process, choose Paypal as payment methode and specify that you want to use banktransfer in customer mesage. Cancel the transaction when you come to Paypal. We´ll get the order.

Ah, that sounds great. Thanx.

Fotoimpex carries them.

For the records, fotomatica.it has always Foma products in stock.

@ Slavomir: it's a pity that international shipping fares are so expensive. Can't Fomafoto strike a deal with some carrier to lower the transport fares? It's the only thing that refrains me from purchasing directly and regularly from you. And I'm actually in need of a reversal process kit for 8mm cine film.

How about the Foma Liquid emulsion? I don't see it on the Foma site?
Best regards

I'd love to be able to get Foma 100 in the halfplate size boxes, that'd be great!

Fotohuis ROVO has had a very close relationship with Foma over the past few years so that is surprising. It might be worth sending Robert Vonk (a forum member and the owner of Fotohuis) a private message to see what the story is...

Foma does stop their film coating line about once a year for several weeks to do insepction and unkeep. If Fotohuis' turnover of Foma roll film is rapid (a good thing!) then perhaps they are just running short at the moment.

I´m sorry but it´s not cheep sending packages from Norway. Alternative is to order more matterials at one time. 1 kg is much more expensive to ship than 20 kg.

I can't see 20kg being less then 1kg, typically it's something like €10 for the first kilo, then €,50 for each additional kilo, up to the next breakpoint, probably 50kg, when they set a 50kg rate, although often it's cheaper to ship 50kg then 49kg. The carrier doesn't care if you put 50kg on the bill of lading and only ship 49kg. In some countries they may be required to give you the cheaper rate.

Now if a company is shipping a lot of stuff, they can always ask for carriers to bid on a contract for their shipping business, some of the discounts for large shippers are quite amazing. Of course you get a better rate if your sending 1000 items a day, then 10 items a day.

Very simple, we are running low in stock so I have a backorder delivered for this week by Foma. By Thursday I have enough Foma in stock again. The int. IBAN/BIC bank-wire transfer from Belgium will have more delay then this backorder

Our Os Commerce system gives the actual real time stock so that each customer can see if an article is on stock.

Best regards,

Robert

Great to hear, I ordered the stuff on your site and the payment is on it's way. Thanx.
